I would like to mention here some recent experience at the PDEE unit of the University of Plymouth, working with Patricia Trundley. This is a busy team that handles some large conferences, including the recent Vice Chancellor's conference. I believe that I was very helpful with the general team effort for that conference, which was considered to be successful at the administrative level. Also, with the Vice Chancellor's conference, I was aware of the large number of delegates that were expected to attend, and I was able to devise mail-merges based on Publisher documents that could be used to handle these numbers, and also for last minute attendees. Also I believe that I worked in a flexible way to improve the design of the tickets used for the allocation of delegates to various rooms, and to conform with the 'team' method of keeping check on the numbers of delegates who had opted for the various choices in the afternoon.
