More details Some years ago, I undertook a PGCE course to teach Mathematics in Secondary Schools. (Unfortunately, I failed to gain this qualification, - but it helped me realise that I enjoy, and am good with, individual or small group teaching. I stayed for a term in London, and I have experience of the individualised scheme in operation there at that time - SMILE). Later I took a course to teach at the post 16 level and passed this - (Certificate of Education (Further Education)). This enabled me to get further experience, especially at Plymouth College of Further Education, where I helped with the tutoring of students on individualised GCSE Mathematics courses, as well as tutoring University of Plymouth students. Further experience was gained by: Individual Mathematics teaching - usually at 'O' level, but also up to ‘A’ level and sometimes beyond. Tutoring undergraduates at the University of Exeter, where I tutored in the practical aspects of the usage of computer software applications such as Word, Excel, Ms Dos and making web pages. Some basic adult education tutoring with Plymouth Worker’s Educational Association.
