| More details | Databases: I am experienced in the modification (especially by using Macros) of an Access database in order to enable data to be entered very quickly, and I have also modified and created Access databases for specific purposes, especially in the work that I have done as a Research Assistant at Exeter University. For example, I have been instrumental in setting up a database that kept directory information of organisations which might help Plymouth parents with parenting their children, and allowing for : easy entry of data, for a paper directory to be printed off, yearly update requests to be mailed to the organisations, and to allow searching for keywords/categories. Recently I have been involved with the setting up of a database to enable stock in a warehouse to be handled, and for charging and invoicing to be carried out from that database - a task which was very challenging and involved Access skills as well as planning, dealing with various personnel in the organisation, and good communication skills. There was also a requirement to be flexible in how the database turned out as there were various problems/issues that came up during the creation of this system. |
